Strange Folders in Docs & Settings

We change the password for one of our users. When he logged in, all of his

desktop icons were missing. In addition to this, when we looked at the

folders in Explorer, there were multiple folders named as follows: _0X00AC,

_0X00F4, so forth and so on. Similar folders were also in All Users,

Administrator, and his user folders. Has anyone seen this before? What

caused it? I'm thinking that we should rename his old profile on that

computer and create a new one. Any other suggestions? Thanks
