Resend a Fax Question

I use the fax application within xp pro all the time. The one thing I have

not found how to do is when a fax is sent and the line is busy to

immediately send again. I am able to set the number of retries and the

number of times to try, but I would like to be able to go to the outbox and

immediately resend instead of waiting for the time interval.

I don't see any option to do this. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Re: Resend a Fax Question

what i do is simply

delete the outgoing/pending

one in queue and recreate the

fax to send it again.

however, you can modify

the defaults by right clicking

on the fax printer and access

the properties.

then there will be another

properties button somewhere

there where you can modify

the number of retries and

the amount of time in between.

perhaps setting the above

to 20 retries in one minute

intervals may be helpful

to you.

other than the two steps

above, a third party faxing

software would likely give

you additional options.

here is some more info:

Re: Resend a Fax Question

Thanks for the info. Will check it out. I have been doing the same thing,

deleting and resending. Increasing the retries and decreasing the time

interval might be a good work around.

Yes, I installed Snappyfax on my new Vista Home Premium computer since the

fax application was dropped on that version. It is a very cool program.
