Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 2007

I have the free version of Lavasoft's Ad-Aware 2007 program and have

recently been trying to contact their Support Forums (through their web page)

without success. The web page address is lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?. I

have tried to contact them by e-mail as well without success.

My problem is trying to send or reply to a message on their web page. I

cannot find where you click or where it shows "Send Message".

Could you please help me with this? I've never had this problem before;

there's always been a place to click to send a message as far as I know.

Perhaps it is missing all of a sudden and I'll have to uninstall and

re-install.

I have a Dell Dimension 4100 Desktop computer with Windows XP - Operating

System - Service Pack 2, Pentium 111 processor with 930 MHZ, 20 GB Hard Drive

and 512 MB of RAM. The file system is FAT 32.

Many thanks for your co-operation and advice.

Could be down. I can't get there, either.

How long did you actually wait for a reply? Did you really expect one

for their *free* version that doesn't include any support? Go read:

Notice that no free support is provided with their freeware version. So

just how were you expecting to pay them in your e-mail message to get

support?

And where is this "web page" with which you are having difficulty? A

web page at the forums site that isn't available right now?

Uninstall and reinstall what? Just why do you think doing any changes

on your host is going to affect the behavior of their web server?

You'll have to just wait until Lavasoft decides to fix their forum site.

I thought Lavasoft abandoned their forums several years ago, and then

the users went to Castle Cops to have a forum over there (see

http://www.castlecops.com/f142-Lavasoft_Ad_Aware.html). With Lavasoft

killing any posts that mentioned a competitor's product, their iron claw

policy to delete posts, and that they didn't like to support a site that

would rag on their product, they dumped the forums and users went

elsewhere. Maybe Lavasoft brought back their forums (so they could

again exercise their policies on allowed posts). It was something like

2 versions ago when I realized that I had to find the user community

elsewhere.

Lavasoft Forums seems to be down currently, as is often the case for

whatever reason. You'll just have to be patient, I suppose.

If you're referring to posting a message on the forum, try the keyboard

combination ALT+S to Submit a post.
