and i want to change the active directory name to be qimc.com.qa so that the

users accounts will be xxx@qimc.com.qa and also the internal e-mails, but at

the same time i have an exchange server 2003 and i want these internal e-mail

to be public now they can send with it but not recieve so whats the scenarioa

You're going to have to do some reading. It's not trivial to do, but

well documented.

You didn't say, but I assume you're domain is a Windows Server 2003

domain. If so, here are some useful links that might help. I used the

step by step guide to do a domain rename a couple of years ago, and it

worked perfectly. Read the two asterisked (*) documents first:

Hi - please see the replies to your identical post in the Exchange 2000

group.

In the future, please don't multipost - if you need to post to multiple

groups, it's best to crosspost instead, by posting a single message to a

handful of relevant groups (separate the NG names with commas) so that

everyone can follow the thread. Multiposting wastes everyone's time,

including yours, and may lead to your actually getting *less* help rather

than more.
