RandyL Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Hi doug. I'm sorry but The Rules specifically rule number 3 states, No advice or help will be offered with regard to P2P (Peer to Peer, torrents etc) programs or software obtained via that medium unless a member specifically states that they require help on removing such software. By now your system is probably totally infected with malware and file types hijacked too. P2P or peer to peer and torrents are a recipe for disaster as you now know. I suggest you uninstall bearshare and all other P2P and torrents as well as delete all files obtained by such means. After doing that you can hope for the best or perhaps reinstall Windows to clean up the mess. If after uninstalling such programs and you wish to attempt a cleanup you should post in the Malware Infection Removal section. If you do please take note of these instructions first. Before posting for Malware Removal help. I always ask everyone who dabbles in such if they have their Windows disks or recovery media handy because they may well need it to reinstall Windows.
