only a few vista computers will remain by 2010

Vista is generally known as the worst and most hated MICROSOFT operating

system ever made.

Many were smart enough to wait (and still use XP) until the better faster

windows 7 would come out...

and many will upgrade to windows7 the very first day it will be available in

order to get rid of the crappy vista running on their machines.

Vista's decline will be such that has never been seen in computer history.

The number of computers running vista by 2010, only a year after windows7

will be released will be less than 1%

thank god....

let vista be forgotten like a big fat ugly nightmare...

I have no reason to back up claims with facts... you want facts about how

bad vista is?

just use the internet and start surfing. You will run into millions of pages

saying vista is

crap and only a few ones saying is good. the ones saying its good are all on

the microsoft server.

just make a mental note.. and in 2010 see that I will be right since you are

too stupid

to realize I am right, right away.

Can you tell us how Windows 7 will be better than Vista? It will certainly

be newer and probably have a slightly different feature set but what

specific problems that you have encountered with Vista will it fix and how

will it do this?

More emotional trash. How many Vista systems are there? What percentage have

problems. (Only those with problems post their problems). Millions of pages?

Get real.

Interesting how when it comes to computer operating systems we all seem to

be stupid or idiots if we don't happen to agree with another person's point

of view. I use XP, Vista and Ubuntu on pretty much a daily basis and have

for the past year. There are advantages and disadvantages to all three but

the sky is not falling. There are complaints about XP, Vista and Linux and

so there should be as none of them are perfect at every task. It is really

quite simple, if you're happy with XP stick with it. If you'd like to try

something new then consider giving Vista and\or Ubuntu a whirl. I'm the

first to admit that performance in Vista is worse than the other two but

there are features in Vista I like that make that performance difference

tolerable many times. All three operating systems as well as OS X will

allow you to get most jobs done so rather than spreading FUD use the one you

like and quit considering everyone that has a different view to be either

stupid or an idiot.

I agree. Now that my system is running faster than every

with the latest Video card, drivers, X38 Abit board,

Intel Quad processor and no crash in 1 year, I want to

take the sytem and get rid of Vista Premium.

Please Microsoft help me crash my system, I miss it!

Well, dummy, if you could time travel to 2010 then why the hell didn't

you bring back a copy of a released version of Windows 7, including the

service packs for it? DUH!

Just a note regarding the use of Windows Vista in our computer club's

classrooms and labs. Consider our club can only draw from a community of age

55+. The classroom now consists of 18 computers running Windows Vista (some

Business, some Home Premium, and the rest Ultimate). 6 are Macs with dual

boot in both the Mac OS and Windows Vista Home Premium. Our lab now houses

an additional 12 computers with one Windows 98, one ME and the remaining

Windows XP.

All are networked, with cable access to the internet. Three network

printers. Instructor and room monitor complaints have dropped from an

average of 16 per month prior to Vista to today's average of 4 per month

(over the past 4 months).

Real usage by old 'dogs' says a lot more than the few nay-sayers.

Personally my own Windows Vista Premium machine has not hickupped once in

the 14 months. My spouses' Win XP Pro has a belly ache once a month...

STFU! You work at a help desk. Give us the phone number bozo so we can

call you and test your "technically knowledge", ok?
