Unzipping quirk

This is no big deal but it's puzzling me and I'd like to fix it

please.

My \Downloads folder is very large because I keep all my downloaded

setup files after installing them, even after uninstalling. So finding

files in it is quickly is important. Most setups download as a ZIP,

and the typical procedure I use is to keep the Downloads folder in

Date Modified order, so the latest download, say xmplay342.zip,

appears at the end, where I can immediately see it. The procedure is

then:

1) Select xmplay342.zip, r-click and drag, choose Extract...

2) In 'Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard',

click Next

3) In 'Select a destination', click Next to accept the default

C:\Docs\Downloads\xmplay342

4) Uncheck 'show extracted files', and click to finish.

On my old (XP Home) PC, that *always* created the folder 'xmplay342'

right next to the file 'xmplay342.zip'. So I could open it and proceed

with the installation, or read any ReadMe, etc.

But on my new (XP Pro), mostly - but not always! - the subfolder

immediately gets filed at the end of the hundreds of other

sub-folders, so I have to go hunting for it.

Anyone have any insight into what's going on here please? Why the

different behaviour? Any way to force the uncompressed folder to be

immediately accessible as before?
