Guest OR Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I have created a BartPE from a XP professional installation CD. My question is: is is possible to test it out on a Home edition system? I mean just look at the IDE if there is any. I am not going to apply any of the options. Final question: when I run the BartPE CD does it mean that my desktop is now running XP professional and not Home edition? OR

You're NOT running the OS that is installed on your hard disk. You can therefore use it on any machine, regardless of its installed OS.
Guest db.·.. > Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Re: bartPE i would also add to barts pe the plug-in for "drive image xml" and add the "drive image xml" software to that cd. with the above and the additional cd's that have the "images" for your o.s., your recovery is assured. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> "OR" <oeivinr@online.no> wrote in message news:uWhypsKuIHA.2068@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I have created a BartPE from a XP professional installation CD.
