Hi all,

new problems, when booting the pc, it will not pass a flashing cursor in the top left hand corner.

Have tried the repair options on the windows disc, even did a system restore, but it still has the same problem.

Also i am told F8 is the button for the windows advance options, but all i get there, is the BIOS screen.

Any help please.

I would check in the Bios and set your first boot device.

I think Windows is searching what to boot from.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.

Just want to make sense of what I said - perhaps it was confusing....

Sometimes I have found people press F8 too early and on some PC's F8 allows you to select the boot device. I saw this lot when doing telephone support, frustrating at times!

Glad all is working well now.

A reinstall every once in a while is a good idea,if one has the time.

Happy Computing.:)
