pilotbob Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hi All, My Lenovo 3000 N200 with XP3 is no longer showing the SD drive in My Computer, when I insert a card the led used to flicker for a while and the card was visible in explorer or My Computer but not now. Any ideas??? Bob. Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Have you checked in device manager that the card reader is visible to windows? If the SD card is still inside the camera then you may need to turn the camera on when it is connected to the PC Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
KenB Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi, If you are putting the card into an integrated card reader it should show up in Device Manager in "Disk Drives" - click the + ( this is where mine appears ). Start > Run .....type in .....devmgmt.msc ....ENTER This will get you to Device Manager. Do you have / can you borrow a USB card reader to see if your card can be read with that? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41yn5jfDi3L._AA160_.jpg Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! I've tried 3 cards and none of them show up. All the cards work fine in another PC I've tried updating the driver for the "Secure Digital Compliant SD Host Controller" still no joy. Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Where have you sourced the drivers from? According to the Lenovo website it has a Ricoh card reader:- are these the drivers you were using Lenovo Support - RICOH CardReader driver for Windows XP - 3000 N200 (type 0769) Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.

Start > Run ....type in ......services.msc .......ENTER Scroll down to Smart Card and check that this service is set to Manual or Auto It should not be "Stopped" or "disabled".
