Guest seepeterun@gmail.com Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hello, I am wondering if the 2TB limit for volumes which exists for 2003 is still the limit for Server 2008? I would like to create a 4TB volume. Is there a difference in maximum volume size for 64 vs. 32? Thanks!
Guest Kerry Brown Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Re: Server 2008 Largest Volume Size This is a limit of the MBR. You will have to use GPT partitioning to get a 4 TB partition. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/GPT_FAQ.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/firmware/Efibrief.mspx You'll be bleeding edge so expect problems. -- Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience: Systems Administration http://www.vistahelp.ca/phpBB2/ <seepeterun@gmail.com> wrote in message news:fff0a2ea-e6b2-4fae-b80a-d676da343eb7@b1g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > Hello, > > I am wondering if the 2TB limit for volumes which exists for 2003 is > still the limit for Server 2008?
