I have this afternoon seen the following information suddenly appear as a

site in my Trusted Zone under the security tab in IE6, and when I click on

'remove' it disappears, and when I again open Internet Options security,

Trusted Zone, it is back again. The exact entry is *.13.165.115.59 which

looks like an IP address. I contacted my IP, and they deny it is anything to

do with them. Could anyone please throw some light on this, and, if it is

necessary to remove the offending entry, how to do so?

TIA

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log

to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2

(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with

assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7,

http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for review

by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this

isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and

independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Re: Trusted Zone

That was my question to the newsgroup under microsoft.public.windowsxp.general yesterday and I would very much appreciate help in resolving this issue. I haven't seen any reply yet in that group.:)

Re: Trusted Zone

Thank you for your reply; however, as I didn't post my question in Google in the first place, but in Outlook Express, I cannot understand how it got there. No wonder I didn't see it! Perhaps I've got another bug! I will follow up the steps outlined.:o:)
