I have a share on my WinXP Laptop that I want to be able to access at work.

I have set up a share on my C drive, took out Everyone and added in my

credentials (which is different between my Laptop and Desktop). I gave my

credentials full access (as it would be when I am directly logged on the

machine).

When I Map to the share on my laptop from my desktop the window comes up

with all my folders showing (which I don't want), and then won't let me

access them - which is fine since I am not authenticated.

But it doesn't ask for authentication so I can get access to it.

What else do I need to change to allow this?

Thanks,

Tom

Click "My Computer" on the desktop, then Tools / Map Network Drive.

After specifying the drive letter and share name, click "Connect

using a different user" and specify your credentials when prompted.
