CD Drive Read problem

Hi all

I'm having a problem with my CD Drive. When I put a new blank CD in it

shows 0 bytes of Free Space. If I try to open it, a error comes up that

says "Windows cannot read this disc. The disc might be corrupted, or it

could be using a format that is not compatible with windows." The same disc

use to work fine. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Re: CD Drive Read problem

Does it read other CD's? If it's a CDRW Drive try opening

MyComputer>rt click the

cd drive Icon>select Properties>Recording>Check the box that say's

"Enable Cd recording

on this drive".

One more thing you can do is rt click MyComputer>select

Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>Dvd/CD Drives>rt click on your drive and

choose

Uninstall. Restart and let WnXP reinstall it.
