Whenever I have debated the occurrence of such as scheme, I have always been dissuaded by the argument that it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

If you live in a big city you are tracked by CCTV as soon as you leave your house. Your phone and Email is now in the public domain. Your spending is monitored by the bank, and if you have more than £5000 cash, then the bank may call the police on you. Your medical records will be available on-line and your DNA will soon be etched on an ID card (only for your DNA to be sold off to life insurance companies to say "your father had this disease so we will charge you twice as much, because you grandmother has this disease, I'm afraid you pay five times as much").

Looks like I misjudged this. The argument I guess is "if you are not a terrorist, then you have nothing to worry about!".

Do you agree?
