Three previously bootable partitions are no longer bootable.

After booting partition C and looking into the partition console window, I

see that 1 previously bootable partition is no longer visible. The other 2

are visible.

When I try to boot the 3 previously bootable partitions, the following occurs:

With regard to 2 of them, the boot process reaches the blue Wxp screen but

the words "windows is starting up" never appears.

With regard to the other, when I try to boot it the message below appears:

Windows could not start because the following is missing or currupt:

<windows root> system 32\hal.dll. Please reinstall a copy of the above file.

You suggestions please.
