Guest Jim Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I updated SP3 using Widows Update. Started receiving Windows Delay write error messages also my HP C5280 All-in-one stopped working. Tried to reload print drivers. System could not find drivers. Uninstalled SP3 and received write delay error on C:/Windows/Servicepacks/i386/query.dll Windows install does not work now and after a reboot. SP3 shows still installed. Any ideas on where to go from here? -- Jim in STL

Do you have the latest driver from the manufacturer installed for it? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330174 -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
Guest Jim Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Re: SP3 Not sure what that has to do with this problem. All was working fine on SP2 then SP3 downloaded and problems are happening. Need to know how to get back to clean SP2. NO, (NADA, None) devices listed in Device Manager. The system is a Dell Dimension 4600 with a 40GB drive. All drivers have been kept up to date from DELL. Got any ideas on how to get this thing back SP2? I saw some posts about going to safe mode and un install. Not sure that will work in this environment. Would need some guidelines on how to do this. -- Jim in STL "Shenan Stanley" wrote: > Jim wrote: > > I updated SP3 using Widows Update.
