Restart the computer

Using the "turn off computer" and then the "restart" option does not work

normally. The computer shuts off, and then opens the black options window

(safe mode, start windows normally, etc). Selecting either "start windows

normally", or "last known good configuration" do not work. Only a hot

shutdown and then restarting loads windows back.

The same happens if I chose the "reboot" option from a program (i.e. after

installing an update).

Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: Restart the computer

Select Start, Run, type "msconfig" without the quotes and hit ENTER. Is

Normal StartUp selected? If either Diagnostic or Selective has been

checked change it to Normal StartUp, click on Apply and OK and restart

your computer. Does that solve your problem?

Hope this helps.
