Guest Rich Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 When a user tries to print from Word using a print range (for example, the document is 20 pages long and the user only wants to print pages 4-10), the job fails. There is no error on the user side of things. From their perspective, "nothing" happens. However, there is an error on the print server as follows: --------------------------------------------------- Event Type: Error Event Source: Print Event Category: None Event ID: 6161 Date: 5/21/2008 Time: 1:55:11 PM User: <omitted> Computer: <omitted> Description: The document Microsoft Word - Cards.doc owned by <omitted> failed to print on printer Gnuckwork Printer. Data type: NT EMF 1.008. Size of the spool file in bytes: 0. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 0. Number of pages printed: 0. Client machine: <omitted>. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 259. ----------------------------------------- This is a network printer installed on Windows Server 2003 Standard, SP2, all updates applied. The printer is a LaserJet 4050. Also of note, when using "Current Page" or printing the entire document, the print job will go through with no problems. Only when a print range is chosen does this error happen and the job doesn't go through. Furthermore, this only happens in Word 2003. Here is what I have done so far with the EXACT same results on multiple workstations: Removed the printer and reinstalled using PCL6, PCL5, and PS drivers - same results. Created a new user profile on each machine and tried printing a range of pages - same results I am so out of ideas. Anyone have any thoughts???
