I have got a Packard Bell imedia D3524 UK and was wondering if id be able to use a ZOTAC SYNERGY Edition NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 PCI-E graphics card on it.

 

Here is the basic details of my system...

 

Dual core Intel® Pentium® Processor E5700

- 3.0 GHz

- 800 MHz FSB

- 2 MB L3 Cache

 

Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium

 

Memory: 3GB

 

500GB

 

Extension card slot 1x PCI-Ex1 1x PCI-E x16

 

system type: 64 bit operating system

I see no reason why this card will not run in your machine other than you are running a basic power supply of wich wattage is not listed........

 

I would go for a compatable PSU of around 500 watts......

 

 

Its not always as simple as just fitting a newer upgraded card you have to take in your power supply and do you need a new more powerfull one......

im sure of what wattage to buy but just not sure if it will come with all leads and wires needed to power all the components in my pc.

The other thing you need to check is that these newer GPUs are pretty big often a foot long or more and can take up as much as 3 of the slots on the back of the PCI slots.

 

If you are using any PCI add in cards, you need to check that they will fit

 

Just make sure that the PSU is ATX 2.2 compliant and it will have a 24pin ATX and an 8 and 4 pin ATX (the rest is just the amount of MOLEX and SATA connectors)

 

The 8pin PCI-E adapters normally come with the GPU :)
