How check if installation disk has SP1?

A Windows XP/wSP1 is needed to create a BartPE CD.

My installation disk is a Toshiba Recovery and Application/Drivers DVD

Satellite M50/M55 series.

How can I check this disk, to see if it has already SP1 on it?

Thanks in advance, Gerhard

That doesn't sound like a Windows Installation Disk at all, most likely

is what it says it is "a Recovery Disk" and that is all. Most computers

today do not come with installation disks instead they come and image of

the installation. You might consider calling Toshiba to see how you can

get a Windows XP disk. You can always make a copy from a friend, the

media is not what makes it legal or illegal but the license number that

should be on a sticker on your pc.

Unfortunately, as noted in other replies, you can't use this CD this way.

It contains a compress image of an install, and does not rely on the XP

installer.

So, it really doesn't matter whether it has SP1 or not.
