Trouble with starting up computer

When switching computer on I sometimes get the screen "we apoligize for the

inconvenience Windows did not start successfully etc." I choose last known

good configeration sometime it starts o.k. the other times seems to start

windows then blue screen appears" a problem has been detected and windows

has shut down to protect your computer" with the

STOP 0X0000008E (0xC0000005,0x804E13C5,0xBA3E3498,0x00000000) any help

Anything could have caused this, instinct tells me a driver issue, have you

recently installed new hardware? Check drivers are upto date particularly

graphics and audio. Could be software, did you load something new recently?

Boot up in safe mode and disable everything in your startup list. Normal

Reboot and test out your system. If all is well keep adding your start up

items one at a time then rebooting until you find one thats causing problems.

 

That's a start unless you can say what you were doing before the problem

began.
