Corky Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I have a second-hand Fujitsu Amilo Li1818 laptop running Vista and despite a new battery, the Windows power manager shows "Power connected, Battery not charging". The laptop runs fine from the mains adaptor which gives circa 19v but won't charge the battery. Is there a setting for this? Have I turned something off? Previous history said poor battery performance hence new battery. Quote
bugsy_ Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Ok try this, turn laptop off > take batery out > plug in power cable > boot up laptop > put battery in > power off > boot back up. Not ideal i know but apparently sometimes this works unless your battery needs replaced. Quote "It takes an intelligent fool to make things bigger and more complex......
