Hi guys, my problem is probably a fairly simple one but I cannot seem to find a solid solution. I recently bought a new PC, this is now the households second computer. On this network there is the already existing computer, a laptop and a xbox 360. We have a BT home hub 2.0 which supports all these. Now I want to add my new computer to the network, how do I do it?

I cannot do it wirelessly with the current setup so do I need a second router? Or do I just need a ethernet cable to save buying another router? I will answer any questions to help specify the solution and hopefully solve the problem. Thanks.

I don't see why you can't do it wirelessly. If your new computer does not have built in wireless, buy a USB wireless adapter, install it and connect. Job done!

Yes wireless is easiest, there are 2 ways to connect:- I have listed them this way as I personally would do them in this order

1:- Let windows configure the network, you right click on the bottom right where your 'wireless' connection shows and scan then enter pasphrase

2:- You run the CD that comes with the dongle and then insert the dongle, it scans for networks and then you are asked to enter the passphrase for the router you are accessing (normally on the bottom of the router on a sticker)

If the PC is situated near the router then it is always best to connect via an ethernet cable for 'troublefree' internet :)
