I have windows XP SP2. Recently I had to update from MSN Messenger 7.0 to the

new version of windows live messenger. I don't know whether it is a

coincidence or not, but every now and then I am unable to open some .pps

entensions. Would updating to windows live messenger cause this? I have a few

saved .pps extensions on my computer that I do not have any trouble with

opening. I am using the 2003 power point reader version.

Re: Power Point Files

Download and install the older version PP Viewer 97 and you most likely will

never have this problem again.

Re: Power Point Files

Thanks ColTom2, I will give that some consideration. I have never had trouble

with the newer version of the reader until after the update of windows live

messenger.
