cannot find import; dll

I downloaded a PC game. when I try to start the game it says

"cannot find import; dll may be missing corrupt or wrong version file "lua5.1.dll" "

I am using Windows XP

 

any help would be GREAT

Where did you download it from, did you purchase the game online and download the file?

if so it sounds like you have a corrupt download and you need to contact the company/site you purchased it from.

 

If you downloaded the file as a torrent then we cannot help

Its called "Crossworlds-TheFlyingCity" and its off ""BigFish games"

 

The download is ok because I can play it on our PC, but the problem happens when I try tp play it on our Lap Top

Is your laptop XP as well. Was the game downloaded individually to each computer or did you copy it?

It was downloaded onto the LapTop which is XP, and then I copied it on to the PC which is XP

That's odd I would think it would be the reverse. I would first try deleting the entire thing from the laptop and copy it from the PC and see if that works. Otherwise I would try a fresh download. You may have to contact Big Fish but they are a reputable outfit.
