sarulez86 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Hi, Im not sure if this is the right place. I had to do a system recovery on my Acer aspire x3400 pc last night and it was all going fine until it got to applying system settings then all of a sudden it restarted itself! when it restarted i got a message saying that an unexpected error had occured and that i should try the installation again. Whch i did but the same thing keeps happening. I tried it with the console and teh backup discs i made but still happens. Any help would be great. Thanks Quote
Jelly Bean Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Hello and welcome. Your recovery console may of become corrupt. Do you have recovery disks? Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
cliff60 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I had the same problem with the x1301. Even replacing the hard drive didnt fix the problem. As it was only 6 months old i got a replacement as all they did was put a new HDD in instead of replacing the motherboard. Think its A bios problem. I tried to use the recovery disk but after 3 attempts it just went to the bois screen then kept rebooting on its own. Also think it might be something to do with the Acer software as the replacement PC i got was the X3400 and had nothing but trouble with that 1 as well. Did u update the BIOS? I did after Acer told me too. It was fine for a few weeks then did the same as urs. It went in for repair as the graphics card failed as well. But they dint replace the motherboard so it crashed again as soon as i turned it on. Quote
