Guest Cleve S. Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Andrew, What can you tell me about downgrading from 2008 to 2003? I know it can be done, I'm just wondering about activating 2003. Here's a link: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/licensing-faq.aspx See the 3rd question under Other. The more I think about it I realize this is the way I want to go with this purchase. Sorry, I'll need quotes with Server 2008 Standard. Thanks again...... Cleve
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Re: Downgrade 2008 to 2003 Hello Cleve S., What is your real question, like you say, you can buy 2008 server and have the right to install the same 2003 version. Talk to your software vendor about the obtaining of license key and media like described in Question 4 under Other. There is no oiption to downgrade an installed 2008 to 2003, it will be a reinstall.
