Question about driver

I got a new PCI wireless adapter. I went over to the manufacturer web

site to download the latest drivers, but it requires you to install

the manufacturer wireless utility, which I don't want. I just want to

use Windows' built-in wireless utility. So I went into the Device

Manager and told Windows to update the driver for the wireless

adapter, and it found it on the Internet somewhere.

I want to make a backup of that latest driver, in case I ever need to

re-install it and the internet is down or the driver is no longer

available from whichever site Windows found it on. So which files do

I need? Just the .SYS file? Or do I also need .CAT and .INF files?

Re: Question about driver

You can download a free tool to backup all your drivers installed in

your system. Try this link:

<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=176359&package_id=255124>

It's already backed-up on the internet thingy.
