The installation of this package failed - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm running Windows 2003 server with SP1

I also have a WSS v3 SP1 running on this server

 

http://www.microsoft.com/enterprisesearch/

 

I downloaded the Search Express 2008 from this site above.

I have also done windows update on my server

 

 

But the problem is anytime i try executing the exe file i keep getting error

(and the installation stops!!!!!)

 

 

 

The installation of this package failed

 

 

Any ideas why this is happening its driving me

NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately there is nothing in the setup log at %temp%

Since its not even executing the installer

this error comes up as its trying to extract the exe file

I have upgraded my server to SP2

Any ideas???
