Armageddon Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Ok folks here's my problem I have a dual boot XP and Win 7 machine now xp relies on realtek for my sound drivers and all is ok in Win7 Realtek software shows my front and back panel inputs within its software but try as I might I cannot get the back panel to cut off when I plug my head phones in the front I have deleted Realtek and tried MS's own drivers to no avail re-installed Realtek and no still nothing for now I have a switch that I manually turn the back speakers off when I want to use my headphones I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. RandyL Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I don't have my headphones connected at the moment but this sounds familiar. Do you want the speakers turned off when you have your headphones plugged in? If so and if I remember right try the sound in the control panel and not realtek in the control panel. Control Panel classic view>Sound>Highlite headphones>Configure. I'll try to look into this more tomorrow if that is not it. Quote We are all members helping other members.
