Guest Patrick Squire Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Hi there, For a while now I have been trying to find the answer to a problem that has annoyed me for a long time now. On Server 2003 I have deployed Web Remote administation & its working great except for one area. I want to use Remote Desktop through a web browser whist im off site. The remote client works fine under XP with IE6 installed but If i use IE7 in either XP or Vista i get the following Error: --------------------------- VBScript: Remote Desktop Error --------------------------- Error connecting to server: <Servername>. You must enable Remote Desktop on the server to use this feature. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- I assume its something to do with the activeX controll and IE7/8. Does anyone know a work around for this problem so i can use RDC via my fav browser? Thanks in advance -- Patrick Squire http://www.msblog.org
Guest Geoff Schaller Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Re: Remote Administration and RDC Google it. Its something else. We use RDP no problem from Vista and XP with IE7. But I don't ever remember there being a problem. Geoff PS - ...and I just did a Vista reinstall last week and it works right out of the box.
