Need Help with Error Message

Can you please help me. I have Windows XP in my HP Pavillion a422n (Pentium

1V). When

I turned on computer there was a message on the screen

that said:"Due to disconnecting abruptly using power surge set up"

' Start Windows Normally';

'Start in Safe Mode'

;'Start Mode with Networking';

'Start with Command Prompt.

I searched for a way to fix this by doing a System Recovery of all

files on hard drive according to directions on HP Support. I recovered the

originals files but now have a message when I turn on computer which says:

"Hardware Monitor found an error":

Enter Power Setup for details. I then clicked on F5

likes it says, but once in there, I don't know what to click on next.
