Remote Desktop problem after installing XP service Pack 3

After I installed SP3 when I attempt to connect to a remote computer I

get a message that says:

*The publisher of this remote computer cannot be identified*.

 

I also get a dialogue box for Remote Desktop Connection that says:

*Remote Desktop Connection has encountered a problem and must shut

down. Its the standard MS error box that allows you to submit the

error or cancel.*

If I leave this box open and move it, then I can connect to and control

the remote desktop. If I close the dialogue box then the remote desktop

session freezes and I have to kill it in task manager

 

any ideas?
