Ciao,

in my notebook XPprofessional sp2,

I have recently observed a locked file in c/windows/temp with the name

"hlktmp" (without extension).

Sometime it has a size of 0kb and sometimes 8Mb..

According the program Unlocker it should be related to the System process (?).

Do you have any idea about it? Is it a normal system file or not? Scans with

both F-secure and "Spybot search & destroy" do not find any malware..

Thank you in advance for your help

It could be related to your virus scanner/firewall/antispyware. You could

temporarily disable any or all of these with msconfig.exe and see if the

file is still there and locked after a reboot.

Hi Giordi,

I think this may explain the file:
