Users can't connect but 'administrator' can?

Attempting to set up TE connections to my 2003 server. I've created users,

made them members of the Remote Desktop Connection group but still they

cannot connect. I've opened the right ports on the firewall/router but still

only the administrator can connect, other can't. Upon trying, they get the

message that state 'you must be granted Log on right to this 'yadda, yadda,

yadda'. The users are members of the RDC group. Why can't they not log on

but the administrator can?

What is the role of the Terminal Server? Is it a standalone server in

a workgroup, a member server in a domain, or a DC?

Re: Users can't connect but 'administrator' can?

By default only Administartors are allowed to login on a DC machine. So even

if user is part Remote Desktop user group, user wont be allowed to login.

And make sure in the user properties on AD of the user in question, go to

the Terminal Services Profile tab and make sure that the box "Allow logon to

terminal server" is checked.

also Need to add that group the allow log on by terminal services in the GPO
