RandyL Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Since it makes wierd sounds first I'm guessing a bad drive instead of bad memory. Dalo Harkin Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Weird sounds could also be when you get a DirectX crash.. Can you not get into windows at all now then? It could be anything from needing the sound/display drivers updating to the chipset drivers or DirectX If you can get into windows open a command window (cmd.exe) and type dxdiag then hit enter and post a pic of the 1st screen that pops up please :) Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
RandyL Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I was just wondering if this only happens with a disk in the drive bay. Just a thought. Quote We are all members helping other members. Plastic Nev Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Overheating comes to mind as well, considering it seems to happen when game playing or watching a movie, have you had the cover off and looked to see if any dust build up?
