I have somehow managed to acquire a directory display which shows a panel at the bottom with info about the current selection.

I have no idea how I manage this but I wnat to get rid of that panel at the bottom - I have tried all sorts of settings in the folders option of the control panel but can't seem to get rid of it.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Thanks

If you mean the folder details at the bottom, click "Organise" then go down to "Layout", remove the tick for "Details Pane".
