Am I correct in my observation that the Windows XP Start Menu only contains

recently used programs and documents? That is, it is not possible to set up

what programs and/or documents that you want to have accessable at all times

whether you use them often or not. This option is only available in the

classic windows mode, Correct?

Nope. You can put any program you like in that area merely by

right-clicking on it or a shortcut to it and choosing to Pin to Start

Menu..

To get rid of the recently used items, configuer the Start Menu (right

click) to hold ZERO of those items.

Right-click on the Start button and click on the Customize button, the

option is available in both the XP style and Classic style Start Menu,

in the Classic menu it's "Personalized Menus".

Re: Start Menu Set up

That works on programs. How about individual files?

Thanks so much.
