Guest Jack McAfee Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Sometimes when I logged on and check Windows Task Manager I see that "teatimer.exe" is one of the processes that is active. Can anyone tell me what this process is about? Jack

Guest John Barnett MVP Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Re: Teatimer.exe One can only assume that you are running Spybot Search and Destroy as 'teatimer.exe' is part and parcel of that application. -- -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". Can anyone tell me >what this process is about? It's the resident program from Spybot Search and Destroy (it gets installed when you run that program) that protects you from having anyone other than yourself from making changes to your registry. If you've never installed a program or made a change to your Windows setup then you probably haven't seen a popup from Teatimer.

Teatimer may slow your system, but it better than nothing.
