Browser wont go back

My browser is not allowing me to go back or forward when I click the arrows. I need to exit before I can go back to a previous website. Do I need to reset IE? If so, how? Thanks.

Sorted! Run IE without add-ons.

Some add-ons can be a problem. Some toolbars are buggy for instance. I wonder which add-on caused your problem.

Uninstalling and reinstalling software like the Firefox browser can be an easy fix which is good.

 

Unfortunately Windows 7 uses IE8 not IE7 and IE is part of Windows not a seperate program.

 

A reinstall is not a possibility although IE8 can be turned off in Programs and Features.
