MS Office Apps Want to Restart after Shutdown

Hi,

 

I'm using XP Pro with SP2 and MS Office 2007 with SP1. Just recently, all

Office Apps give me the following error box when shutting down:

 

"MS Word/PowerPoint?Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We

are sorry for the inconveneience. Restart MS Office Word/PowerPoint/Excel?

Please tell MS about this problem."

 

Being the nice guy that I am, I've been telling MS about the problem for

weeks now, to no avail.

 

I already tried repairing and uninstalling/reinstalling Office several

time....no good.

 

Thoughts, prayers, answers, technology sufficiently advanced as to be

indistinguable from magic?

You might try checking Event Viewer for anything relevent, & the next time

you get a prompt to send the err report, try examining the log that is being

sent.

Then post to an Office group
