packard bell pc will not start

the problem started this morning the pc powered of for no reason and now will not start up ( when pressing button to turn on goes to black screen)

we have unpluged the machine and trued rebooting through pressing f11 without sucess.

we have lost the recovey cd.

any advice at all would be welcomed

You need to get intouch with PB for the recovery CD.

 

Have you restarted and repeatedly tap F8 key and choose last known good config?

 

Or restart reapeatedly tap F8 and choose safe mode.

 

Do either of these choices work?

 

Is your hard drive showing on the post screen?

 

Does your hard drive show in setup/BIOS?

 

Under the FB options does it mention recovery or repair?

 

Did you also try the F10 or F12 KEY?

Do you mean you shut down the computer then restarted it then pressed F11?

 

I think you realy need the recovery disks or possibly your hard drive is faulty or dead.
