I did shut down my computer because it was not responding. When I tried to

restart the system it asked me to if it want to restart under "safe mode"

........ and normal setting. Even though I selected "safe mode" my screen

remained black, I could the window arrow, but I can't my icons, etc. What

could be causing this problem? How do I fix it?

Re: Unable to restart

 

Try this..

 

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del and get the task manager

click new task and try explorer.exe -> Ok

 

Are you sure you get blank desktop in the safe mode?

 

Above step should work otherwise let me know whether you atleast get

the task manager..
