Guest joe schmo Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I have a W2K3 DC server. Most machines are XP. Just testing Vista now. I can log on fine with an admin account in the domain, but when I log on to the Vista pc with a user domain account (roaming), it signs in with Temp and no settings can be saved. Is this a permission issue? Or does Vista look elsewhere for profiles? any help is great thanks.
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Re: Vista signs in with Temp account not a domain account Hello joe, If it use a temp account and you use roaming profiles stored on a server, there will be a connection problem to the share where the user profiles are stored. Check that the account is configured for the right profile share and has the correct rights to it. Additional test from the run line with \\yourserver\usershare if you can access it or if it is only possible with \\ipaddress\usershare Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > I have a W2K3 DC server.
