On my XP pro, I can not ever get the latest Java to work. It keeps

comin up with the following:

Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process

or

Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded

I have found and tried to follow Sun's recommended "work arounds" but

I have no success.

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/6000060700.xml

Sun does not seem to take this seriously since they have not posted a

true fix or update yet.

Can someone suggest a better solution or a link to the older Java

versions?

Just to complete this thread. I have been reading over the Interent

and this is a common problem. If the "recommended" work arounds that

Sun / Java provided do not work, you need to somehow reset Interent

Explorer as your default browser. I loaded FireFox and made it the

default browser. Then, I restarted IE 7 and it asked me to make it

default browser. Java is now working.

Looks like many different solutions, some work some don't.
