I do not see this option in my NIC's setting, yet I know the NIC will support

it. Is this a limitation of the driver or perhaps Win XP version?

 

I'm sure this is a simple issue, but haven't run across this before.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

CB,

 

If you have a GB NIC & a 10/100 switch you aren't going to get the speed...

If the entire infrastructure is also 1 GB then you will get the required

speed

Re: Setting NIC to Gig speed

 

Check your NIC's properties. The speed is normally set to the

"Auto-Negotiate" value and is somewhat dependant on the type

of connection speed of your Access Point equipment.
