Please help.

I am trying to copy my research files from a library computer into a USB Flash Drive but couldn't as the administrator disabled the USB port.

I tried enable it back through Regedit. I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\UsbStor

and type 4 and click Hexadecimal.

I received an error message "Cannot edit Start: Error writing the value's new contents. I tried to get full permission for user to change it but was denied.

Please someone help me. Thanks.

No can do I'm afraid, if the ports have been disabled by an Admin, it needs an Admin to use them (re enable)

I would email them to yourself and log in at a PC that you know you can use the flash drive on, and get them off that way

you need Administrator permission to edit windows registry...

If you are admin..go to admin account and then try regedit again...and if you are not admin.. contact your admin for the same
