ExTS Admin Starbuck Posted March 10, 2011 ExTS Admin Posted March 10, 2011 Hi antiqcool, Try this link: http://download.cnet.com/Realtek-AC-97-Driver-Windows-98-Me-2000-XP-2003/3000-2120_4-10238712.html From the page click the Download Now button and save the file to your desktop. Then double click on the icon to run the installer and follow any instructions. You may have to reboot your system for the changes to kick in. Quote Member of:UNITE
KenB Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Hi, I have looked on the PB site and can see no mention of 1307 under the imedia options. See here: http://www.packardbell.co.uk/pb/en/GB/content/download There is an XP compatible driver ( PV U09 ) ?? There is an option to d/l some software to identify the hardware on your system. Click on the "i" in the circle. Let us know how you get on. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Dalo Harkin Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Personally I would go into device manager and try and install the driver and when it searches will search windows update for one too.. GRANDAD Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Hi ANTIQCOOL, i had the same problem after reinstalling win xp on a friends PC, The sound was realtek AC'97. . Having found this on the INTERNET, loaded it onto a disc and went through the device manager to reinstall the driver and yes! it worked - we have lift off and sound. Starbucks link is the one. Good luck. PS as had been said you could load it onto your desktop but i used a disc so as to keep a record, this self loaded on insertion. Quote
