Hard Drive Problem ?

Hi everybody.

 

I don't know if the problem is with the hard drive, but I tell you what is happening with my PC.

 

All started whet my computer started to froze ... I thougth that is a software problem, virus, something but I put new windows and still it still froze ...

Then a lot of times the hardware has some problems because when I start the computer it says: "Disc boot failure insert system disc and press enter" or the other one "Boot device not found or how is it" :|

Now a lot of times the hard restarts. I can hear how it stops then starts again. Of course the PC freezes ...

 

Can somebody tell me what is the problem, and what should I do ?:|

Sounds like the HDD is about to die, if you can get into windows or safe mode then back up what you can onto a flash drive or CD/DVD and when that is done, come back and let us know and we will help further

I don't thinks so because I already changed the HDD to another ... Same thing :|

 

Can it be a power supply's fault... because it don't gives enaugh energy ? Or cooling problem ?

It could be a PSU problem, sometimes they need firing up a few times then seem to work. Check it with a handheld PSU tester or swap it for a known good unit.

The stopping and starting could just be the drive spinning up/down, but it shouldnt be that noticeable

Are these SATA drives that you are referring to.

Check the power connections on the back of the drive and also the data cable to the board.

Are you connecting the drive from a direct cable from the PSU or using a MOLEX splitter or multiple SATA connector (daisy chain)
